What we collect
Nothing.
That's not a marketing line. Concretely:
- Your photos: never leave your iPhone. All analysis (visual similarity, blur detection, burst grouping) runs on-device using Apple's Vision framework and our local SQLite cache.
- Your decisions (kept, deleted, pending): stored in your iPhone's
UserDefaults. They do not sync anywhere unless you've enabled iCloud syncing for your device. - Crash reports: collected by Apple via App Store Connect. We see anonymized stack traces. We never receive your photos or any identifying data.
- Purchase information: handled by Apple. We receive only the entitlement signal ("this Apple ID owns Flick Pro"). We do not receive your email, payment method, or billing address.
What permissions Flick requests
- Photo Library access (
NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription): required to read and delete photos. Without this, Flick cannot function. - iCloud network access (only if you enable "Download originals from iCloud" in Settings): used to fetch photos that have been offloaded to iCloud for analysis. This is direct iPhone ↔ iCloud — Flick never sees the data.
That's it. Flick does not request location, microphone, camera, contacts, calendars, motion, health, or Bluetooth.
Third-party services
Flick uses only Apple services: PhotoKit, Vision, StoreKit 2, optionally iCloud Photos. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, Sentry, Crashlytics, Facebook SDK, AdMob, AppsFlyer, Adjust, or any other third-party SDK.
Data sharing
We do not share your data with anyone, because we do not have your data.
Data retention
Your analysis cache lives on your iPhone for as long as Flick is installed. Tap Settings → Advanced → Re-scan all photos to clear it manually. Deleting Flick from your device removes everything.
Children
Flick is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content. It does not collect data from any user, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we ever update this policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and announce the change in the app's What's New notes.
